Everyone was in a festive mood for the second stop of WAKE DANS’ RUE, Saturday July 7th in Sherbrooke, celebrating the Savoroso 5th anniversary at the Marche de la Gare.
As usual, Quebec favorite wakeboarders were on site to impress the judges and Jess Polley from Winnipeg, as well as Johnny Bonney and the Ontario crew travelled all the way to Sherbrooke to take part in the action.
The always-focused Yan Thibault took first in qualification for the second stop in a row pleasing the thousands of spectators gathered around the course. As the format goes, the 8 riders that executed the best tricks in qualifications were to advance to the exciting head to head finals in the evening. With some crazy tricks, veteran Alex Savoie claimed the title ahead of Benjamin Leclair, Drummondville champion. François-Olivier Jutras took 3rd for the second stop in a row, and Winnipeg’s Jess Polley came in 4th.
On the girls side, Cynthia Dion won her first ever WAKE DANS’ RUE title, while Marie Line Ouellet climbed on the middle step of the podium. Drummondville defending champ Kelsey Chiappa closed the deal with a 3rd place.
WAKE DANS’ RUE will be in Trois-Rivieres this Saturday July 14th, at Le Parc Portuaire. For more info, visit PRO AM Productions official website HERE.
