Author: Press Release

Merced, Calif. -- As towed water sports are becoming more diverse than ever, Malibu Boats has made key strategic additions and promotions that will help them continue to design, manufacture and market the best boats in the industry.

With over 28 years in the water sports boat-building arena, Ritchie Anderson has been welcomed into Malibu's family as Vice President of Operations. His proven skills will be vital to ensure the factory's focus on continuous improvement, increasing capacity, day-to-day workflow and quality assurance. Anderson brings a general love for boats with proven leadership capabilities in improving processes. He is known for bringing out the best in people and will continue the strong reputation for quality that Malibu is known for. Jack Springer, CEO of Malibu stated, “We are very excited to have Ritchie on the Malibu Team. In the short time Ritchie has been at Malibu, he has added immediate, measurable value. Ritchie, Lynn Little, who was recently added to Malibu as Assistant Plant Manger, and existing plant leadership give Malibu a deep and talented operations team.” Anderson commented, “I am very proud to be part of the Malibu Team. In just the short time I have been with Malibu, I have seen that the employees have a strong passion to deliver high quality product to meet our customer’s expectations. Combining that with the Company’s commitment to deliver value to our customers and a strong continuous improvement mindset means we will continue to separate Malibu from the competition.”

A long-time valued asset in design for Malibu Boats, Danny Gasper has brought countless innovations to the water including the G3 Tower, all-new Wakesetter 22 MXZ and Response TXi. Gasper will continue to push the most leading edge, practical, user-friendly advancements in his role as Director of Product Design in Merced, California. Mr. Springer’s comments on the promotion were, “Danny has been instrumental in establishing Malibu’s reputation for style and innovation. His passion will continue to direct industry leading influence over our design and the usability of our boats. Dan is a great testament to not only the Malibu of today, but the rich heritage of Malibu’s past. He is a highly valued member of the Malibu Team.”

Known for leading the development  and bringing the popular Axis line of boats to consumers, highlighted by winning the WSIA's "Most Innovative Product" in 2010, Adam McCall has also been working behind-the-scenes on several Malibu initiatives and has been promoted to Vice President of New Product Engineering and Product Positioning for both Axis and Malibu. Springer said of McCall, “With his deep roots in wakeboarding and other boardsports, Adam brings a wealth of experience, personality and practical knowledge to his new role.” McCall commented, “I'm honored to keep pushing forward with the greatest team in the industry. Filling a role that blends a passion for design, while keeping an eye on our product’s position in the market is a challenge that I don't take lightly. Seeing the fresh energy within our unique company makes me confident that we will grow our foothold as the world's number one water sports boat manufacturer."

With brand communication becoming more important than ever, Kevin Michael has been brought on board as the Malibu and Axis Public Relations and Social Media Assistant. "Kevco" is known as the former Editor of TransWorld WAKEBOARDING for 12 years and also brings a lifetime of experience and success on the water. He will be launching creative and on-target campaigns to connect enthusiasts to the activities they love. "This opportunity is one that definitely feels right," Kevco said. "I've held Malibu in the highest regard for a long time. Since I reside in Orlando, I'm psyched to get going on some cool projects including creative content from in the scene."
